Government Industrial Training Institute (GITI) is committed to providing quality technical and vocational training to students, especially from rural areas. Under the guidance of the Directorate General of Training and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the institute aims to develop skilled, industry-ready professionals and reduce unemployment through practical, employment-oriented education.
The vision of GITI is to become a leading center of excellence in technical education and skill development. The institute strives to empower youth with modern skills, promote self-reliance, and contribute to state and national growth by bridging the gap between industry needs and skilled manpower.
Industrial Training Institutes were established to meet the growing demand for skilled workers during India’s industrial expansion. Working under the Directorate General of Training, ITIs like Industrial Training Institute, Sohawal were set up to provide structured technical training in rural areas and enhance employment opportunities for youth.
